Teucer

Two figures in Greek mythology had the name Teucer:

  1. The son of Hesione and Telamon, Teucer fought with his half-brother, Ajax the great, in the Trojan War. His daughter, Batea, married Dardanus. This Teucer fought on the side of the Greeks against the Trojans.
  2. Son of Scamander and Icaea, Teucer was the legendary ancestor of the Trojans. Hence Trojans were sometimes referred to as "Teucrians". This Teucer fought on the side of the Trojans against the Greeks. (In Apollodorus's Bibliotheke III, xii, 1.)

Alternative: Teucris
