Oquirrh is a town located in Salt Lake County, Utah. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 10,390.

1. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 4.5 km² (1.8 mi²). 4.5 km² (1.8 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.


\nAs of the
census of 2000, there are 10,390 people, 2,683 households, and 2,428 families residing in the town. The population density is 2,292.3/km² (5,950.3/mi²). There are 2,728 housing units at an average density of 601.9/km² (1,562.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 87.60% White, 0.69% African American, 0.41% Native American, 1.36% Asian, 1.62% Pacific Islander, 6.18% from other races, and 2.14% from two or more races. 12.58% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 2,683 households out of which 69.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 75.0% are married couples living together, 11.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 9.5% are non-families. 6.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 0.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.87 and the average family size is 4.03. In the town the population is spread out with 43.0% under the age of 18, 10.1% from 18 to 24, 37.0% from 25 to 44, 8.6% from 45 to 64, and 1.3% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 23 years. For every 100 females there are 99.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 95.2 males. The median income for a household in the town is $51,199, and the median income for a family is $51,156. Males have a median income of $36,229 versus $24,270 for females.
